World Chinese Journal of Digestology is a peer-reviewed and open access journal. Founded in 1993, it is a decennial journal published on the 8th, 18th and 28th of each month. It is a core academic journal in both electronic and online formats organised and published by Baishideng Publishing Group (BPG), produced by Beijing Baishideng Biomedical Science and Technology Co. All articles are stored in the World Chinese Journal of Digestology website. The scope of the journal covers digestive internal medicine, digestive surgery, digestive infectious diseases, digestive Chinese medicine, digestive oncology, digestive imaging, digestive endoscopy and interventional therapy, digestive Chinese and Western medicine, digestive basic research, digestive pathology and digestive nursing. World Chinese Journal of Digestology has been published by ‘China Science and Technology Paper Statistics Source Journal (China Science and Technology Core Journal)’, ‘Chinese Core Journal Abstracts (2011 Edition)’, ‘Chemical Abstracts)’, ‘EMBASE/Excerpta Medica), ’Abstracts Journals Abstracts Journals’ and “Digital Object Identifier”. On 2012-12-26, the journal was awarded the title of A+ by RCCSE China Authoritative Academic Journal.
