Founded in 1952, Foundry covers the entire casting technology field, including cast steel, cast iron and cast nonferrous alloys, including sand casting, die casting, investment casting and other special casting technologies. It reports on advanced scientific and technological achievements and application technologies in the casting field at home and abroad, the production and management experience of successful enterprises, and information and activities of the casting industry at home and abroad. Foundry is a source journal for Chinese scientific and technological papers statistics, a source journal for the Chemical Abstracts (CA) of the United States, and a source journal for the Chinese Science and Technology Literature Database, and is included in more than 20 databases at home and abroad. Foundry has won major awards in the Chinese publishing industry, such as the "Third National Journal Award" and the "Second China Publishing Government Award Journal Award Nomination Award", and was selected as one of the "China International Influential Science and Technology Journals" in 2012 and "China Top 100 Science and Technology Journals" in 2013, 2015 and 2017.
