Biotechnology is a comprehensive academic journal in the fields of biotechnology, bioengineering, microbiology and biology, which mainly reports on the important achievements of biotechnology and biology in China, and the progress of biotechnology and its industrialisation at home and abroad. Its readers mainly include researchers and technicians, teachers and students engaged in research, teaching and production related to biotechnology and biology disciplines in agriculture, forestry, medicine, food, animal husbandry, chemical industry, metallurgy, environmental protection and other industries. Biotechnology is included in several authoritative search databases and abstract journals, such as CA Chemical Abstracts (U.S., 2014 edition), JST Japan Science and Technology Agency Database (Japan, 2018 edition), China Biology Abstracts, and China Academic Journal Abstracts. It is a core academic journal of China (RCCSE) (2014 edition), a core agricultural journal of China (2014 edition), a statistical source journal of China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED, 2018), a full-text journal of China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD), a source journal of China Biology Database, a journal of China Biomedicine Database, and a Caj-cd Code award-winning journals.
