In the test sites, EMD was administered around the healing abutment before soft tissues were sutured. Soft tissue healing index (HI) and secondary endpoints (clinical, radiographic, and patientreported outcomes) were measured. Better outcomes were recorded in patients receiving EMD for all parameters.
