Abstract
In the traditional EM scattering model of the sea surface, sea clutter with different parameters are usually calculated under the static condition of the radar platform. However, most radars move in different motion states, e.g., radar seeker is equipmented in a moving missile-borne platform. This paper introduces in detail the model and process of the integration of moving radar seeker and sea surface under the side-looking radar and forward-looking radar seeker. The vector superposition of the results of the physical optics method (PO) on facets is used to calculate the EM scattering under the condition of seeker beam irradiation. Sea clutter under different marine conditions and radar platform parameters are simulated and analyzed. It is pointed out that the amplitude of the side-looking motion radar platform increases significantly when the wind speed increases. When the platform velocity increases, it has little effect on sea clutter time series. For the forward-looking motion radar platform, the frequency increases significantly with the increase of wind speed or the increase of platform velocity.
