Abstract

Multi-pulse voltage source inverter topology having a number of 6-pulse VSIs as elementary units is widely used in high power applications. This paper is aimed to present a detailed analysis of the harmonic components present in individual VSIs of a 48-pulse voltage source inverter and mitigation of these harmonics so as to produce a sinusoidal wave output.
