Abstract

E-shaped microstrip patch antenna is proposed here with two additional rectangular slots. The effects two additional rectangular slots at different locations are presented and analyzed the variation of parameters i.e. return loss, impedance bandwidth and gain. The size of E-shaped patch antenna is reduced up to 8%. This E-shaped patch antenna gives enhanced impedance bandwidth up to 27% and gains more than 90%. From the analysis of simulated results it can be verified that the antenna is best suitable for compact size wireless communication applications.
