Abstract

It is required to research on spatial diversity and high-rate data modulation techniques to support multimedia services. In this paper, we propose OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system using a new cooperative communication scheme to have benefits from diversity gain through single antenna mobile's partnership. The proposed system has strong point of supporting high speed data transmission under frequency selective fading channel. We perform the computer simulation to verify the proposed system through comparing cooperative mode and non-cooperative mode under Rayleigh fading channel plus AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise).
