Abstract
In this paper, a multi-index, bi-criteria, fixed charge transportation problem (MIBCFCTP) is considered in which the parameters of cost and duration are taken as trapezoidal fuzzy numbers. An algorithm incorporating an extended VAM and an extended MODI method is developed to find Pareto optimal solutions of the problem. The algorithm is illustrated with a numerical example and solutions obtained are compared with existing methods.
