Abstract
A self-consistent simulation method is developed for the study of coherent synchrotron radiation effects by using a perturbation expansion of retarded radiation field and the particle-in-cell method. With this method, the particle- radiation interaction can be calculated self-consistently without memorizing the history of the bunch particle distribution during a beam tracking.
