Abstract
The possibilities of using fiber-optic sensors as one of the most promising directions for improving the efficiency of stationary systems for diagnosing the condition of infrastructure facilities used to ensure the safety and efficiency of a transportation process in railway transport are considered. The relevance and advantages of using distributed fiber-optic sensors over point (local) sensors for monitoring the state of extended infrastructure facilities are illustrated. The analysis of the peculiar features of the use of fiber-optic sensors for monitoring systems in railway transport associated with various risks (sensitivity, range, etc.), which must be taken into account when developing and implementing monitoring systems. The results of the conducted experimental studies are considered, the conclusion is made about the possibility of increasing the signaling reliability of the fiber-optic sensors used when detecting various disturbances due to special measures and unconventional signal processing methods.
