Abstract

In through-the-wall radar imaging (TWRI), clutter suppression is necessary for target detection and identification. Clutter in TWRI mainly consists of wall reflection, antenna coupling, multiple reverberation etc. Assuming that the walls are smooth is too ideal. The rough surface wall is considered in the present paper. Blind signal processing such as singular value decomposition (SVD), principal component analysis (PCA) and independent component analysis (ICA) are applied to remove the clutter for rough wall. Signal to clutter ratio (SCR) of the images after clutter suppression with these techniques is compared.
