The simulation results show that the proposed method can increase the accuracy of the channel estimation and improve the performance of the MIMO-OFDM system. Abstract

In this paper, an iterative decision-directed channel estimation algorithm is proposed for multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system. The algorithm is divided into two parts: channel prediction and channel estimation. The basic idea of the channel prediction is to use the auto-regression model and a priori information of the channel to predict channel state. Then channel state is estimated by using the channel prediction information and received signal. The simulation results show that the proposed method can increase the accuracy of the channel estimation and improve the performance of the MIMO-OFDM system.
