Abstract

A new approach to constructing a landing system for multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles (MUAVs) on a moving base is considered. The approach is based on the use of short-range radio beacons located on a movable base. By measuring on the MUAV board the power of the radio signals emitted by each radio beacon, the position of the MUAV relative to the geometric center of the landing platform is determined algorithmically. The algorithmic solution is formed by using the least squares method and the weighted least squares method.
