Abstract

Liberalization is perceived as an effective tool for maintaining or improving the position of regions and states in global competition. In this article we deal with the meaning of liberalization of economic relations, defines its understanding and tools during the existence of the GATT agreement and since the WTO (1995), define the structure and activities of the WTO with regard to its mission in liberalizing world trade and trade dispute settlement.
