PV output may be reduced to ensure voltage security. Abstract

This document proposes methodologies for the design and operation of a microgrid (MG) for the main campus of the University of New Haven. In this MG, a battery power storage system (BESS), photovoltaic production systems (PV) and controllable loads are included. Intense penetration of the PV may cause overvoltage problems in this MG.
