Based on the industrial safety standard IEC61508 and characteristics of the MCU system, this paper emphasizes and analyzes the hardware safety requirement as well as a technical safety requirement of the MCU system. Abstract

In the recently developed automated system, reliability and safety are remaining as significant challenges especially in the autonomous industrial system after the fourth industrial revolution.
