Abstract

The use of simple devices to detect underground metal targets, and seeking to improve the detection depth is a hot issue in recent years. In this paper, the finite element model is established to simulate and analyze the response characteristics of underground metal targets under the excitation of planar coils. Based on the custom designed electromagnetic instrument(EM instrument), we compared the detection effects of different coil configurations, and a new rectangular planar coil sensor with orthogonal configuration is designed for detecting underground metal targets. The sensor is capable of detecting unexploded ordnance that are 40cm long and 1.5m deep underground, and can eliminate the effects of small metal debris.

基于矩形平面线圈和电磁仪器的地下金属目标探测方法
