In past, the repeated tests were performed to satisfy the reliability of circuit breaker, so the time and cost were very high. To reduce the time and cost, there were many studies that predict the dynamic behavior and reliability of circuit breaker. In this study, the dynamic loads were measured to analyze 550kV circuit breaker. The multibody dynamic analysis models were developed by using RecurDyn program. And the simulation results were validated with experimental results. Abstract

A high voltage circuit breaker was mainly used to prevent accidents that may occur during transmission and distribution.
