Abstract

A new structure of 3-way power divider which based on the structure of branch line hybrid coupler is proposed. The proposed 3-way power divider is designed using an intentional mismatching between the transmission line impedance and termination impedance. As the result, the reflected waves at through and coupling port transmit to isolation port, and resultantly this produces a 3-way power divider. The design concept is confirmed by the circuit and electromagnetically (EM) simulation results, and the fabricated circuit is illustrated with the measured performances.
