Abstract

Since its victory in the 2011 Scottish Parliament election, the Scottish National Party has made serious efforts with the aim of gaining full independence for Scotland. This article presents plans of the SNP in the field of Scotland’s defense policy, seeking answers to the question of impor-tance of such a policy for the SNP and also to the question whether the SNP plans would allow to create armed forces suitable for Scotland’s foreign policy and ever-changing international environment.
