Abstract
There are many studies on the stability of Jordanian grid at different voltage levels (400/132/33 kV). There has recently been an increase in studies on the power quality of the Jordanian Power Grid (JPG). In this paper, study will be done on the stability and power quality of JPG with and without an external grid tie connection. To achieve that, the actual power grid in the JPG is represented by a Digsilent Power Factory Software as a dynamic power system, and the different load demands. The results showed improvements in the power quality of the JPG with an external grid tie connection, while the JPG will loss stability without external connection.
