The population of this research was the first grade of SMA Tri Sukses Natar in the academic year 2019/2020. The sample of this research was X science 2 which consisted of 30 students. The data were taken from the tests and they were analyzed by using paired sample t-test. The result showed that there was a significant difference in the students’ reading comprehension of pre-test (61.40) to post-test (72.30) in which t-value>t-table (11.882>2.452) or sig p<0.05 (0.000<0.05). In addition, main idea was the aspect of reading that improved the most after the implementation of the technique and the aspect which improved the least was vocabulary. Based on the result, it can be concluded that Herringbone technique is effective to improve students’ reading comprehension. 本研究的目的在于了解在实施人字形技巧后,学生的阅读理解能力是否有显著差异,以及探究在实施人字形技巧后,学生在阅读的哪个方面提高最多,哪个方面提高最少。本研究的人群是2019/2020学年SMA Tri Sukses Natar的一年级学生。本研究的样本是X科学2,由30名学生组成。数据取自检验,采用配对样本t检验进行分析。结果显示,学生的阅读理解在测试前(61.40)与测试后(72.30)有显著差异,其中t值>t表(11.882>2.452)或p<0.05(0.000<0.05)。此外,主要观点是在实施该技巧后,阅读方面改善最大,而词汇方面改善最少。基于实验结果,可以得出人字字形阅读技巧对提高学生的阅读理解能力是有效的。关键词:人字形技巧,阅读理解,叙事文本
