Specified decision-making-based problem was explained mathematically and a linear model was developed. Production planning which determines the production activities of the businesses was chosen as a decision-making-based problem. In this study, it is targeted to examplify the usage of operation research in production planning activities. With this purpose, a production plan was developed with the help of linear programming in the Furan Line in ERKUNT A.Ş(Inc.) Casting 1 Factory. After explaining the problem linearly, LINGO software was used to solve it. By observing the situation and gathering necessary data, material of the study was obtained. Since maximum profit was targeted, the problem was defined as a linear programming problem and solved with a software.
