Abstract

Operational risk can be defined as risk of unexpected losses resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems or from external events. Its management is a young discipline in the financial sector, and so is its project management framework, without a specific methodology and with a short implementation experience. This paper will present the state of the art of these type of projects and will propose methodology improvement and changes in its organizational perspective.
