Abstract

The most revolutionized contribution of next-generation SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Function Virtualization) is Softwarized Network Slicing (SNS). Dedicated services can be sophistically proctored by leveraging the vast features of SNS. This manuscript explores its applications for the most advanced UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) communication networks in the 5G domain by redefining the conventional frameworks. The UAV networks are needed to be defined as a significant component of existing 5G and forthcoming 6G wireless communication networks. However, converging the wide service types over a common setup without implementing a one-to-one setup is extremely challenging. Motivated by the stated facts, in this work, the system architecture is specially designed to provide differentiated Quality of Services (QoS) for UAV applications. A proof-of-concept realization is presented showing the ability to orchestrate the time-critical demand-supply module in complex networking conditions. The proposed frameworks intend to deliver new operations, new business model solutions, and new experiences for both UAV service providers and operators.
