One research theme of the project is evaluation of ship performance in a calm sea using onboard monitoring data, since performance in a calm sea is the basis for evaluating ship performance in actual seas and for assessing the effects of fouling and aging on ships. In this paper, the authors introduce the Resistance Criteria Method (RCM) for evaluation of ship performance in a calm sea. The method applies the increase rate of resistance from a calm sea for filtering of environmental factors, and also applies the \napparent slip ratio for reduction of deviations in the filtered data. Abstract
