Abstract

This paper proposes a modified soft-switching scheme for high gain interleaved boost converter. A single auxiliary soft-switching network is capable of providing both zero-voltage and zero-current transitions to the main switches. Moreover, the soft-switching network provides soft turn-OFF of all the diodes(main and auxiliary) and does not impose any extra stresses on the devices. The network provides soft turn-ON and turn-OFF of the auxiliary switch as well. A 12 to 100 V, 100 W, 50 kHz circuit has been simulated to validate the soft transitions of the converter.
