The source is capable of generating impulsive, burst, and continuous pseudorandom noise with three designated statistical characteristics: noise duration period distribution (NDPD), noise-free period distribution (NFPD), and amplitude probability distribution within a noise duration period (NAPD). The trial-manufactured pseudonoise simulator was able to generate, as requested, wideband signals which continuously included constant magnitude spectra over a commercial video frequency bandwidth.
