Abstract
Nowadays in the automotive sector, a lot of emphases is given on making a vehicle superior and robust in every environmental situation. Customer need for luxury features and comfort is also increasing day by day making hardware and software systems much more complex. Dedicated Electronic Control Unit (ECU)is assigned to perform a specific function that handles electrical systems or subsystems in a vehicle. In a vehicle complex network of ECU's is present communicating with each other using various communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, MOST, etc. Vector CANoe is widely used software because of the multi-bus concept which allows various protocols to operate simultaneously also CANoe testing offers a very accurate, reusable, and simple method of testing. Manually testing such complicated software is a tough procedure and required a significant amount of time. Various automation techniques are present currently such as DSPACE, CAPL, vTESTstudio, etc. In this paper, a novel method is discussed to automate the software testing process using Excel, Vector tools, NI test stand, and Lab View.We can also integrate CAPL scripting in this automation which helps in some test cases. A precise report is generated containing all the detailed information such as start time, end time, and recorded value. Reports are stored in cloud with the help of codebeamer.
