Abstract
A mathematical model and computational specifics of the properties of resonant scattering and generation of waves by a nonlinear layered object are presented. Estimates of the matrix condition numbers allow to evaluate the degeneracy of the matrices of the induced spectral problems and the sensitivity of the algorithm with respect to errors.
