Abstract

Studying on the KM4030 toolholder/spindle interface, through changing some factors such as magnitude of interference, clamping force, etc. the effects of different parameters on the performance of toolholder/spindle connection system were researched by means of the finite element method (FEM). The KM toolholder/spindle interface belongs to the highly nonlinear problem caused by interference fit and elastic coulomb friction.
