Abstract

The promoted continuous-time (CT) sigma-delta $(\Sigma\Delta)$ modulator clocked at 128 MHz with a hybrid active-passive loop filter is presented. The promoted phase-locked loop organization consists of phase frequency detector (PFD), charge pump (CP), low-pass filter (LPF), switch $LC$-tank voltage-controlled oscillator with divided-by-8 divider is combined in continuous-time (CT) sigma-delta $(\Sigma\Delta)$ modulator for 2.4 GHz wireless controlled power applications.
