They can be used in regenerators or completely from transmitter to end receiver. Details of cell format, format of acknowledgment cell, CRC code and analytical results of throughputs, traffic increments as well as buffer requirements of the two proposed ARQs are given in the paper. A method of estimating the error detecting capability is developed. Finally, The operations of transmitter and receiver are designed and simulated. Abstract
