Abstract

In this paper, the equivalent circuits analysis of the multimode resonator (MMR) and the MMR-based ultrawideband (UWB) microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) is presented. The modes of the MMR are analyzed through coupling analysis. The equivalent circuits of the MMR and MMR-based UWB BPF are discussed in detail. The proposed detailed equivalent circuit analysis can be implemented for the analysis of others coupled circuit structures. Further, numerical simulation study of the MMR-based UWB BPF is carried out and found that it can be a suitable device for wireless communications applications.
