Abstract
The family Typhaceae Juss. in European Russia is represented by two genera, 19 species and hybrids. We discuss morphology, distributions, ecology and diagnostic features of Russian cattails (both Typha L. and Rohrbachia (Kronf. ex Riedl) Mavrodiev.
