Abstract

Timing diagrams are a common tool used in teaching digital systems. The graphic expression of timing between several signals helps to understand the behaviour of the components in a digital system, and by extension that of any computing system. Adequate, functional timing diagrams are necessary in order to show the behaviour of a digital system and to display all of its possibilities, which must be shown in order to correctly understand the working of each component. In this paper, we present a tool allowing for the simple, straightforward generation of timing diagrams aimed at teaching the behaviour of digital circuits.
