Abstract

The urgent need of digital transformation is caused by the colossal increase in the volumes of bibliographical information and with the aim of openness, availability and efficiency of delivering information to consumers. Digital technologies allow to significantly improve processes of search, selection and structuring of information, categorization and indexing, selectively and momentarily deliver information to consumers, create digital libraries and much more. In the article there are examples of digital technologies used in leading foreign libraries. It considers government projects of Russian Federation on digital transformation, involvement of university libraries in the process of digital transformation of bibliographical work. On the example of a selected library of Donetsk People's Republic the instruments of bibliographical work are considered.
