Therefore this paper investigates the time-sum-of-arrival (TSOA) based localization algorithm, where a two-step weighted least-squares algorithm is analytically derived according to the elliptical geometry. Meanwhile, the comparison between the proposed algorithm and the conventional time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) algorithm is provided in detail.
