Abstract

This paper presents a design of a meander line UHF RFID tag for vehicle localization purpose. The aim of this study is to investigate and design a structure of RFID tag antenna using an available commercialized chip of output impedance $\mathrm{Z}_{\mathrm{c}} = 28-\mathrm{j}148$ operating around a resonant frequency of 918 MHz, hence several physical and geometrical parameters have been taken into account, like length and thickness, to achieve a high RFID tag performance. The proposed RFID antenna structure allows a longer range than conventional ones. The actual designed RFID structure is validated through various simulations studies by using a CST-MW software.
