Abstract

One of the important efforts to suppress the spread of Covid-19 is through vaccination. This research aims to investigate whether factors of perception, motivation, and social support systematically related to Covid-19 vaccination readiness among nursing students. A cross-sectional study was conducted using purposive sampling among 198 nursing students. A multivariate regression analysis was performed to determine predictors of Covid-19 vaccination readiness among nursing students. The results showed that motivation is the most potent factor of Covid-19 vaccination readiness. Motivation and social support both have significant effect on Covid-19 vaccination readiness (β = 0.006 and β = 0.063, p < 0.05). However, the variable of perception has no significant effect on Covid-19 vaccination readiness. Findings in this study also reveal the presence of respondents who were not ready to have a vaccination against Covid-19, signifying the need for intervention to increase the readiness of Covid-19 vaccination. © 2023 American Institute of Physics Inc..
