Abstract

Jeddah monthly water consumption data were collected from a website for Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), and it was analyzed with tables and graphs. The variables selected for this study were: Jeddah City population, temperature (monthly maximum, monthly minimum, average monthly), humidity (monthly maximum, monthly minimum, average monthly), Saudi Arabia monthly inflation rate, Saudi Arabia annual GDP and Saudi Arabia per capita GDP. Pearson Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the correlation between water consumption in Jeddah City and each of those factors separately. Correlation analysis showed that four factors were affecting water consumption in Jeddah. These factors were: city population, Saudi GDP, Saudi inflation rate and GDP per capita, respectively.
