Abstract

The statistic electromagnetic field coupling between two leaky cables and a pair of wide-band logarithmic-periodic dipole antennas has been experimentally investigated in a reverberation chamber over a wide frequency range. The leaky cables have been placed in a certain height above the chamber floor. The scattering parameters between the antennas and the terminals of the leaky cables have been measured using a vector network analyzer. Different configurations and terminations (open circuit and 50 Ω) of the leaky cables have been tested in order to analyze the effect onto the reflection and transmission coefficients, and to assess their behavior in terms of EMC and wireless communication.
