In this study, Interpretive Structural Modeling based framework has been developed to critically analyze interrelationships and interactions among practices pertaining to the plastic part manufacturing process. Based on the analysis, the practices have been hierarchically classified into interdependent, dependent, and linkage construct. Abstract

Plastic part manufacturing organizations have witnessed tremendous growth and significant contribution to GDP in India. Still, it has poor public image due to environmental vulnerability and adverse working conditions. Many companies have adopted sustainable manufacturing as a means of improving competitive advantage, public perception and to cope with government regulations. However, for enabling sustainability, practices need to be developed and deployed based on scientific prioritization. In this study, Interpretive Structural Modeling based framework has been developed to critically analyze interrelationships and interactions among practices pertaining to the plastic part manufacturing process.
