The various origins of these surges were identified. The three major reasons for unstable operation are discussed. Looking at an unstable operation forced the engineers to look at the overall operation, not only a cyclone or a preheater. Abstract
The characteristics of material surges in a precalciner kiln are discussed. The various origins of these surges were identified. The three major reasons for unstable operation are discussed.
