Abstract
In this study, we investigate some approximation properties of a class of the Kantorovich type operators including Charlier polynomials studied in Varma & Taşdelen (2012). We examine the order of convergence of the operators with the aid of some mathematical tools such as the usual modulus of continuity and the concept of K-functional, and derive an asymptotic formula using the Voronovskaja type approximation theorem.
