Abstract

Reversible watermarking embeds message into contents in such a way that visual transparency is preserved and original contents can be restored. This paper presents a reversible watermarking algorithm that embeds message bits by modifying the differential histogram between adjacent pixels. Also, the way to compensate predicted errors is proposed to solve overflow and underflow of pixel values. In comparison with other methods, experimental results shows that the presented algorithm achieves 100% reversibility, high capacity, and high visual quality while maintaining the induced-distortion low.
