Abstract
This paper describes the effects of Nano grating structures incorporated on the Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED). The Nano grating structures are incorporated on the glass substrate to reduce substrate losses that exist in OLED. Braggs theory is used to model the Nano grating structure. Finite difference time domain method is applied to obtain numerical analysis of the proposed OLED design. The incorporation of Nano grating structure helps to reduce total internal reflection that exist in OLED and enhance transmission. The optical characteristics such as Light extraction efficiency (LEE), Purcell and transmission were obtained for an operating wavelength of 540nm. Comparative study is carried out for OLED without pattering and with patterning using Nano grating Structure.
