Abstract

For an indoor base station antenna at the 28-GHz band, we propose an dual-polarized antenna designed to radiate in all directions, using horn antennas. In order to utilize both polarizations in all directions, 6 E-plane and 6 H-plane horn antennas are arranged alternately in a circle with equal angle spacing. The aperture surface sizes and flare lengths of the horn antennas of the proposed configuration are determined by simulation to achieve a gain of 15 dB in all directions and for both polarizations, and we confirm that the target characteristics were achieved.
