Advantages of Using the Probabilistic Form of Information Representation in Information-Control Systems

Abstract

The article considers the basic possibility of applying the probabilistic form of information representation in information-control systems with the purpose of significant reduction of hardware volume, increase of their speed and noise immunity. The questions of transformation of information into probabilistic form are considered, the mathematical apparatus describing the direct and the reverse transformation of information into probabilistic form is briefly resulted. The principles of constructing computing devices - stochastic or probabilistic computers, in which the information is transmitted, transformed and processed in the form of signals of various nature, are presented in the form of probabilistic displays. The analysis of the advantages obtained by using the probabilistic form of information representation in the information-control systems from the point of view of saving hardware volume is carried out.
